However, there is one thing we can’t control and that’s the weather. Whatever the forecast brings for your wedding, Gaynes Park will look after you.

We totally understand that lots of couples worry about the weather, particularly if you’ve planned lots of outdoor wedding entertainment. However, let us assure you that should the heavens open on your wedding day, we’ll always have a Plan B to fall back on and, with your family and friends by your side, your day will still be perfect.

The recently renovated Apple Loft is the perfect place to start your day. If the skies are grey, this wonderfully designed space will still be light and bright and perfect for all your wedding preparations and pre-ceremony wedding photos.

When you’re ready, make your way down the Long Walk and, if it’s raining, we have plenty of stylish umbrellas to keep you dry. If it’s a hot day, you’ll not have far to walk in the sun before you make your way into the Walled Garden and on to the Orangery.

The Walled Garden is always beautiful, whatever the weather. When it’s sunny, you’ll find pockets of shade along with flower beds that pop with colour in the sunshine. If it’s raining, everything will look super fresh and glossy and there are paths and paved areas so that you can avoid the grass. The Pavilion is a great place for wedding photos, particularly in the rain (or even in the snow!) as you can take a special moment together whilst your photographer captures an incredibly lit, ‘wow’ photo of you both.

Step inside the Orangery and you’ll be cool if it’s warm and snug and dry if it’s not. The heating and air-conditioning here will keep you comfortable and the light and contemporary feel of the space will feel fantastic, even on the greyest day. If it’s raining, we can transform the Orangery into a venue for your drinks reception after the ceremony, allowing you to get outside in the gardens if there’s a break in the weather.

The Gather Barn is another great space, giving you extra options, in all sorts of weather conditions. When the sun is shining, how about holding your ceremony here? With its open sides and rustic styling it’s an idyllic shaded location for a country wedding ceremony. It’s also a great space to relax in during the evening reception (it’s just a couple of steps from the Mill Barn). Whether you use the Gather Barn for shade or for shelter, it’s always great for wedding photos!

For your wedding breakfast and evening reception, the Mill Barn really is the best place to host the party of a lifetime. Again, it’s always heated (or cooled) to perfection. With high ceilings, oak floors and light brick walls, it’s a space that lends itself to both dramatic and simple styling so you can create the perfect atmosphere for your big day. It’s also cosy in the winter and light and bright in the summer months, making it a great space for guests to all be together, whatever the weather.

However, the best thing about Gaynes Park is that it’s exclusively yours. This means that, as you have the venue all to yourself, we can change plans at the last minute if we need to. We can react to the weather to ensure you have the best day of your life, making use of all the spaces that make Gaynes Park the perfect Essex wedding venue, come rain, snow or shine.
